July Open House Summary

Kick Off Meeting Summary

Approximately 40 community members attended the Draft Plan Open House, where participants reviewed the Future Land Use map, Strategic Priorities, and key Action Items displayed on large-format boards. Attendees provided feedback through interactive worksheets, offering input on topics such as buffering between land uses, public parking and restrooms, STR management, environmental protection, infrastructure needs, housing strategies, and overall community character. The event generated thoughtful comments that helped refine the draft plan, several of which have already been incorporated into updated recommendations, such as adding public restrooms to the Town Center concept and elevating priority action items based on community voting. The informational handout, boards, and worksheet are available below for continued public review.

In July, the Hochatown Comprehensive Plan open house brought the community together for an evening of updates and hands-on engagement. The planning team shared the latest progress on the project, followed by several interactive activities that invited attendees to share their ideas, priorities, and feedback. These activities generated valuable input that will help shape the future of Hochatown, and the results can be viewed at the link below. At the Public Kick-Off Meeting for the Hochatown Comprehensive Plan, residents and stakeholders came together to learn about the planning process and share their input on the future of the community. The event featured a series of interactive stations, including a priorities exercise, a visual preference survey, and a hands-on mapping activity where participants identified needs, concerns, and ideas directly with the planning team. The insights gathered will help shape the vision and direction of the plan.
